Coin dispenser / changer
thingiverse
A coin dispensing device, featuring a lever pull mechanism, lets users experience being a train conductor or retro diner waitress. Alternatively, it's handy for making change at drive-thrus. The design requires some cap additions and an improved base; however, it can be made slimmer. Print one of each component - holders, pushers, cranks, and bases - along with supports for the holders and base. Crank arms should be printed flat side down. Pushers slot into holder rails for smooth movement. Assembly involves fitting crank ends onto ball hinges. Apply forward tension on the lower crank arm using a rubber band. Each holder attaches to the base through grooved slots, though some filing might be required due to overhangs. The CAD file is provided in DesignSpark Mechanical format. A video showcases the device's functionality, and the design is inspired by a 1915 patent.
