Coil Springs

Spent minutes crafting these coil springs within Inventor, leveraging the helix feature to create them. Unlike wire springs, it's straightforward to append a torus top and bottom for enhanced stability during printing. On my second attempt, I incorporated thin stiffeners in four angular positions to prevent the spring from shifting during the print process. These can be effortlessly removed with a fine file after completion, resulting in fewer stalactites forming on the underside of the coil. The springs themselves are somewhat soft - scaling down to 80% yields a 0.5" diameter x 1" long spring.
