The coilcam serves to properly position and shape a wound coil. When wrapping a 2-3mm copper wire around a PVC pipe with a diameter of +50MM, the resulting coil often becomes slack or weak after removal from its mold. To address this issue, multiple coilcams can be used in tandem to keep the coil straight. Each coilcam clamps onto the copper wire, securing it in place for up to 28 turns.
