This kit extends a standard 1/4 inch diameter plastic bobbin used for sewing. You can wrap magnet wire around a standard sewing bobbin to make coils, and these parts allow you to wrap more magnet wire around it to create larger wire coils for your experiments. The 3D printed coil extensions snap onto the plastic sewing bobbin and a spacer is placed between them to keep the fins apart. These 3D parts were designed using eMachineShop software which is free.
