Kyle Orourke developed the CoilBot as a solution for laborious hand winding of electromagnetic coils, completing the project in just a weekend long ago. The STL files are available on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:334983. Key features include a 2x16 LCD display, three selection push buttons, two stepper motors, and storage of up to three presets. It accommodates standard spool sizes and requires power of 1A @ 12VDC - 16VDC. The CoilBot is controlled by an Arduino Uno with stepper motors driven from Sparkfun's Easydrivers, designed and rendered in AutoDesk Inventor 2014 Student. More information can be found at http://www.kyleorourke.com/coil-bot/, and his website is http://www.kyleorourke.com.
