Cog-type sailing ship 3D model
cgtrader
The 12th to 15th century cogs served as freighters in the North and Baltic Seas; however, this model sailing ship inspired by a cog is more advanced. Authentic cogs featured only one sail, no wheelhouse, a single rudder, and less complex poop decks and forecastles without ratlines for climbing to the masthead. The concept hails from Charles G. Dyer's 'The Elf Saga' series. Set around 10,000 BC (before the Flood), this ship was crafted and navigated by Atlantis' advanced civilization. To reduce polycount, individual deck and hull planks were replaced with textured planes.
