Cog for IKEA blind

Cog for IKEA blind

thingiverse

This is a custom cog designed for a DIY project involving lifting an IKEA blind up and down using a string with spheres attached. The cog seamlessly fits onto the spheres and is engineered to fit perfectly on the rod of a stepper motor, which will be used to control the blind's movement. For those interested in seeing the complete design, I have included a link below to the actual IKEA product that inspired this project. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10309150/ Update I have recently modified the design so that the central hole now passes straight through instead of being partially obstructed by 2 mm on one side. Print Settings Printer: P3Steel Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Infill: 20 % Notes: When printing, be sure to use a durable material like ABS that can withstand the pressure exerted by the blind. It is highly recommended to maintain at least 20 % infill for optimal results.
