Place a laser proximity sensor facing out of the hole, a small battery, a party popper explosion piece, and a bright LED inside, put a piece of paper on top, and wait for someone to walk by! You'll need to experiment with some things, but it's priceless if made just right! Keep in mind-you will have to scale this yourself based on the components you're using and your printer.
