
Coffee Measure - Long Handle Heart Design

I printed in PETG but PLA should work fine. I have provided g-code for PETG and PLA for both the Prusa MK3S and Mini. The part has a 45 degree chamfer on the base which does not need supports but the handle does need them. I have described how I set up the supports using the Prusa slicer below. I modified the default settings (some are advanced or expert settings) as follows: Layer height 0.20 mm or smaller 7 top and 7 bottom layers to make the bottom of the part solid 8 perimeters 100% rectangular infill overhang threshold = 40 degrees to avoid unneeded supports pattern angle default (0) (with part extending left to right) see picture top interface layers = 1 (light) for easier removal of supports interface pattern spacing 0.4 mm for easier removal of supports I oriented the part so that the support interface layers are perpendicular to the handle as shown in the picture. Using this support arrangement, a putty knife can be used to scrape off the interface layer since it is perpendicular to the part layer resting on it. The extra interfacing pattern spacing makes it easy for the scraper to engage the interface layer. Light sanding with 150 grit sandpaper on the supported surface quickly soothes the part.
