This coffee cup features an engraving of coffee beans on two sides and measures about 95mm tall overall with a capacity of 335mL. Ensure that any material used for this project is food-grade to guarantee safe consumption. I chose certified food-grade PLA and subjected it to heat treatment to withstand hot coffee and dish washing without compromising its integrity. To guarantee absolute safety, consider using a stainless steel nozzle when printing food containers, as some brass alloys contain lead, which could potentially contaminate the print. However, I believe that the risk of lead exposure from a single print is minimal, and I do not plan to make frequent use of this printer for food containers. A general note on heat treatment: it may cause warping in printed parts. If dimensional accuracy is essential for your coffee cup, you might need to reevaluate your approach. Print Settings: To facilitate bed adhesion, I employed a brim during printing, as the contact surface area is relatively small. The cup's domed bottom necessitates support under it for proper printing, and I used support blockers to prevent supports from generating under the engravings due to their curved shape. Printing at 100% infill will help minimize warping when heat treating solid parts.
