coffee capsule tray
thingiverse
We purchased a Nescafe coffee capsule machine, which only accepted Original Nescafe capsules. My wife prefers organic coffee, and I found that the organic capsules are about two-thirds the size of the original ones, preventing them from fitting properly in the machine. Initially, my idea was to design an adapter where the smaller organic capsule could fit inside and then insert into the original tray. To make this possible, I decided to reverse-engineer the original tray so that it would accommodate the smaller capsules. The first 3D printed version did not fit perfectly, but after re-measuring, I am optimistic about the next print scheduled for next week. Once completed and checked, I plan to upload the STL file so others can benefit from my project. After multiple iterations, Version 3 was successful, and the design is now available online for others to download and use. When printing this adapter, I recommend setting your machine to a 50% fill layer height with an infill density of 0.25mm. Additionally, sealing it with an acetone slurry mixture will ensure that it remains water-tight.
