The Epic Saga of the Avatar: In a distant future, human enhancements have become an integral part of society. Angel rises up as a champion in the resistance against robotic domination. His left arm is augmented with advanced technology to create breathtaking art and defeat the robot menace threatening humanity. As a non-violent warrior, his trusty sidekick is a supersized Wacom Pen that has been upgraded to bring anything he creates to life. The Army of Art is comprised of various factions, but Angel was handpicked to join the elite Zbrush Faction. A canister on his back, connected to his Wacom Pen via a hose, holds a precious cargo of clay - a versatile resource that enhances his art and gives him an edge in battle. With his imagination as his ultimate weapon, paired with his trusty Wacom Pen, Angel is humanity's best hope for a future free from violence. How I Conceived the Idea: When I read the contest description, I was electrified. I knew right away that I had to create an avatar that bore my likeness. As a sculptor, I had never attempted to model myself before, so I decided to take on the challenge. This avatar represents me in every single way: The attire is Soldier/Mercenary gear, which I find incredibly cool. Military clothes and equipment have always fascinated me. My hat holds a special significance - my girlfriend despises it when I wear one 95% of the time, so I had to include it as a nod to our quirky dynamic. As a self-proclaimed sci-Fi geek and robot enthusiast, I gave myself a cyborg arm. It's a testament to my passion for all things technological. The Artist glove on my right hand is an essential tool in my daily sculpting routine with my Wacom Cintiq tablet. My trusty Wacom Pen is more than just a drawing instrument - it's my chosen weapon, reflecting my commitment to non-violence and creative expression. The Zbrush Logos hold a deep significance for me, as they represent the software that has transformed my life and artistic pursuits. It was only fitting to pay homage to this incredible tool. The aesthetic: I drew inspiration from Overwatch, Fortnite, Pixar, and Borderlands, striving to create a stylized look that's both captivating and visually appealing. The base of the avatar was influenced by Disney infinity Figures, which I adore collecting. If you'd like to see my progress pictures, feel free to check out my Instagram profile - angel3dr.
