Cocoon Create Touch / Wanhao i3 plus reverse fan duct
thingiverse
I cobbled together a makeshift fan duct that functions surprisingly well. The most useful component of this design for other projects might be the bracket where the fan attaches. This bracket takes the place of the metal plate that secures the breakout board to the bearing block. It's secured in place using the original screws (as far as I recall). Then, you can drop a couple of square nuts (hex nuts could work as a substitute) into the bracket. The breakout board attaches to the top with some screws, and then the fan is mounted to the bracket using M3 x 12mm screws. Once it's all set up, the cover slides over the top to conceal the cables. This cover also has an opening at the back, so you can access the extruder connectors and ensure they aren't overheating.
