Cockspur Island Lighthouse at Low Tide
sketchfab
The Lighthouse at Cockspur Island, Fort Pulaski, Georgia – a joint endeavor between the University of South Florida Libraries (Digital Heritage and Humanities Collections), the National Park Service (NPS) and the Southeast Archeological Center (SEAC). This 2018 survey documented the plight of this endangered site with data applied to create meteorological models, GIS assessments, and sectional analyses. Terrestrial laser scanning, photogrammetry, and GPS data were gathered as part of this project. The 3D landscape data is presented with modeled low tide levels highlighting areas submerged underwater. At high tide, the entire island is underwater, often exceeding the entrance door's height to the lighthouse.
