Cockpit for Tamiya CR-01 Rock Socker

This is a simple cockpit-inlay for the nice Tamiya Crawler Rock Socker.
It is based on an “Recaro-Seat”model of https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/104072-recaro-seat-without-the-base , but heavily modified.

Maybe, it fits on variants also, I don't know.
I have designed it for the driver figure from the Tamiya Sand Rover (Tamiya 58500), but maybe, other figures can also fit (from the Bruiser, maybe).
The part replaces the battery holder, so we don't need any modification on any original part.
If you're using an “old” (round shaped) battery, you will need some Foam or so, tho fix the battery. I'm using normal, modern hardcase batteries, so the holder is a bit thinner, to fit all together.
The figure needs to be massive cutted, because the Socker has am very small cab, I have cutted a bit over the belt, and also a bit under the arms (it's not visible).
Also he hat needs a small cut on upside of the hat, this is also not visible.
If you set the body a bit higher, this may not needed.
Steering wheel and shifter comes with the kit of the driver, there is a hole für the shifter, and another for the steering, this can be mounted with an M3-Screw.
I't is a good idea, tho protect the roof of the body from scratches on inside with a piece of tape.

The part is simple to print: normally not supports are needed. I'm printig it without any support, layer was 0.2mm, and 10% infill, to loose some weight.
It's only black pla.
After printing, fit the driver, and then, paint all how you want.
Then glue the driver to the printed part, mount steering wheel and shifter, and replace the battery holder with the cockpit.
For round batteries, you can put foam between the battery and the inlay, or you use some “washer” on upside, they should be ~ 2-3mm because for my “normal” hardcase packs, the Tamiya holder is to thick.
Notice, that the back bolt needs to be in the right orientation, so that you can put the snap pin in.

If you want, you can refine it with belts, dashboards or maybe, an copilot. But for best performance, it should be light as possible.
