Cockpit for Mehano TGV/Thalys
thingiverse
The Mehano TGV arrived in the hobby edition without showing any parts from the driver's workplace. So I made one myself. To get started, you'll need a small plastic case that fits into the train's cabin. You can use a piece of transparent plastic or a small box from an old CD holder. Cut it to size and make sure it's not too thick for the train's frame. Next, draw the driver's compartment on a separate piece of paper. You'll need to include all the details such as the dashboard, seats, and windows. Make sure to keep it simple and easy to build. Once you have your design ready, cut it out and assemble the pieces using glue or another strong adhesive. Make sure everything is aligned properly before gluing it together. If you're feeling adventurous, you can add some extra details such as a steering wheel, buttons, or even a small computer screen. Just be careful not to overdo it, as too many details can make the model look cluttered. Finally, attach the driver's compartment to the train using glue or another strong adhesive. Make sure it's securely attached and won't come loose during handling. If you have any ideas or suggestions for improving this tutorial, please let me know! I'd love to hear from you and see what other creative solutions you come up with.
