This plate was placed by the manufacturer to identify the shunters series 90 and 91.The John Cockerill Company was founded in 1814. It built steam locomotives from 1835 and diesel locomotives from 1954. In 1955, it merged with Ougrée-Marihaye and its name was changed to S. A. Cockerill-Ougrée. This name was later changed several times following mergers, until the group was taken over in 2006 by the current ArcelorMittal.Reference: Train World
