Cockade - Kokárda
thingiverse
Tomorrow marks the 15th of March, a day that holds great significance in Hungary as the memorial day of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, which escalated into a war of independence against the Austrian Empire ruled by the Habsburg dynasty. This pivotal conflict shaped modern Hungarian history and had a profound impact on Central European events. The cockade, also known as a ribbon rose or kokárda in Hungarian, has its roots in the French and Italian revolutions of the 18th-19th centuries. Initially, it was a decorative item fashioned from a ribbon featuring the tricolor of the national flag, worn by both supporters of the revolution and rebels themselves. The Hungarian cockade became an iconic symbol of the Revolution of 1848, and to this day, Hungarians proudly wear it on March 15 as a tribute to their revered historical figures. I have designed a 3D printable version of this classic cockade. It can be easily printed in separate parts using a single-color FDM printer, which can then be assembled with glue. For an impressive surface finish, I recommend printing at a layer height of 0.1 mm or lower. To secure it to your clothing, simply attach a standard safety pin using the included holder piece or opt for a specialized badge pin designed specifically for this purpose.
