cock roach locomotion studying model
thingiverse
To study a cockroach's locomotion, its legs serve different functions: front legs for steering and pulling, middle legs for thrusting and weight support, while hind legs provide thrust. Inspired by this, I plan to build a robotic roach model using SMA (Shape Memory Alloy) for movement, liquid as heat transfer media, and LPG as the heat source. Controlling this device will be 10 Arduino boards linked together, with 10 ultra-sound range finders acting as sensors along with additional components like gyroscopes. For assembly, use a file to round axle holes, ensuring a tight fit for stable joints; prepare three bodies and three sets of legs (front, mid, hind), printing two sets of each and connecting them using connecting beams.
