Rough Model of the Cobra- A Presentation for Classmates To demonstrate our understanding of anatomy, we've created a simplified representation of the cobra's structure. This rough model will help us visualize its key features and discuss their functions in class. As you can see from this model, the cobra's body is divided into distinct sections: the head, neck, torso, tail, and limbs. Each part serves a vital purpose, working together to enable the snake to move, hunt, and survive. The head houses the brain, which controls the snake's movements and sensory inputs. The eyes, nostrils, and mouth are all located on the top of the head, allowing the cobra to detect its surroundings and capture prey. Next, we have the neck, which connects the head to the torso. This area is flexible, enabling the snake to twist and turn as it navigates through tight spaces. The torso is the main body of the cobra, comprising a series of vertebrae that provide support and flexibility. The skin is thin and smooth, allowing for efficient movement and concealment. Moving down, we have the tail, which plays a crucial role in balance and stability. The tail helps the cobra to right itself when it's disturbed or threatened. Finally, we have the limbs, also known as the scutes. These hard plates protect the snake's body from predators and provide additional support for its movements. By examining this rough model of the cobra, we can gain a deeper understanding of its anatomy and how each part works together to enable its unique characteristics.
