The Cobra Night Landing model released in 1985 is perfect for stealthy insertion and speedy escape via its outboard motor. Even without having this model as a kid, I'm sure it would have been one of my favorites. Since the toy was not available when modeling, blueprints, online pictures and estimates were used to create the model. The file is optimized for printing at 25% scale, ensuring the right balance of detail. A huge thank you goes out to Chris who provided some essential dimensions from his old toy. If he hadn't helped me get those dimensions, I wouldn't have been able to make this model. My finished model weighs a mere 4 grams and costs about $0.10 for the material used. This file is free to download under the CC license. Since it's just a rowboat, I'm comfortable with this choice. You are allowed (and encouraged) to print copies for personal use. If you've downloaded this file from somewhere other than my thingiverse.com site, they did so without permission. As always, much respect and gratitude go out to past and present members of our Armed Forces - the "Real American Heroes". Their sacrifices allow people like me to live in peace, freedom and create silly little toys like these. Printing tips include printing the raft hull down. The outboard motor should be printed with supports, prop touching the print bed and motor up. Oars and MG should also be printed horizontally for added strength, with supports too. A word about assembly: this model is delicate, particularly if the oars are extended. I suggest gluing the model to a piece of cardboard or similar after assembly to give the oars another point to adhere to. Also, the grab ropes along the sides are painted on - modeling them wasn't feasible at 25% scale resolution.
