Cobra flight grip
grabcad
An updated version of the 3D model now exists as it has been converted to solid form, but its shape remains unchanged. The file format also includes STL files; however, the grip still lacks internal structure and requires additional modeling or post-processing for functional 3D printing. As the creator could not find a pre-existing Cobra flight grip model, they decided to design it themselves based on the evolution version of the USAF standard B8/MC-2 grip. The grip is described by an aircraft parts supplier as providing improved switch layout and repairability with expanded flexibility for flight systems and controls. It has been in use for over 30 years and can accommodate up to six switches in an ergonomic right-hand position. However, the model's current state is only suitable for ergonomic evaluation and aesthetic purposes in modeling and lacks finishing or internal structure for 3D printing. A 100mm circle is also included as a reference for unit conversion.
