Cobblestone seamless texture roller rolling pin 6" wide
thingiverse
This is my attempt to create a high-quality cobblestone textured rolling pin suitable for making larger areas or roads in your scenic (28mm) terrain. The image shows my test-print, cut down using meshmixer, but the actual model is 6 inches wide. One turn should theoretically give you a 6"x6" textured area. This design is based on a seamless texture that works in both x and y directions, so if you line it up correctly and put a mark on the side of the roller, it should produce a seamless pattern on your surface. If you don't have a suitable paint roller handle, try using a screwdriver as the axis. For foam, you need quite high pressure to get a good pattern. Another standard medium is air-dry polymer clay on MDF or plastic card. Let the clay dry for 10 minutes, then use the roller and keep it clean with an old toothbrush. I print at 0.1mm to get the best texture results, but you make your own call! Good luck and show off your results! P.S. Any tips on beer are welcome now that I'm retired!
