Coaxial motor mount for 10mm booms

This is my design for a motor mount that fits a typical 10mm boom based tricopter such as the RCexplorer or the Fortis Titan, or our Triagra frame. It's tailored specifically for 35xx sized motors. There's a slot around the perimeter to attach light strips, ideal for a WS2812 "neopixel" strip in silicone jacketing. I use 10mm x 750mm booms from HK and insert 5/16" poplar dowels into them, using gorilla glue. Instructions Print the motor mounts at 0.3mm with 100% infill. To assemble, you'll need a form of double-sided adhesive to secure these to the booms. You will require: * M3 10mm screws for the motors * Small 40mm cable ties/tie wraps/zap straps * 10mm x 750mm CF extrusion square tube - one per boom. Clean thoroughly before gluing * 5/16" dowel x 48" - one per boom, dampen with water * Gorilla glue (wear gloves) * Gloves * Masking tape * Lights if desired, cut to fit the slot on the motor mounts Clean the CF square tube meticulously. I use isopropyl alcohol. Seal the ends of the square tube using masking tape. Soak the dowels in water. Apply gorilla glue to the dowel using a disposable rag and let it set; some expansion will occur, so you'll need to seal the ends with tape beforehand. After it's dry, trim off the dowel and any excess glue then sand to a smooth finish. I apply a two-sided adhesive pad on each side of the boom for extra stability before mounting the motors first (apply loctite sparingly; avoid getting any inside the motor, as this is an easy mistake). Clamp the motor mounts onto the boom next. Secure the lights with cable ties.
