Coaxial air wound balun (choke) helper
prusaprinters

This is a tiny clip designed to help in winding an air core choke balun (a few loops of coaxial cable which reduce common mode currents). See here for more information on this.

The clip is symmetrical (print twice to get a pair). Put coils in one clamp, rotate 180 degrees and slide the other clamp over the coils and into the cable locks.

Print laying on clamp side (not on its bottom as the picture shows) to get the best durability.

CABLE_DIAMETER = 5; // RG-58, 5 mm diameter NUM_WRAPS = 6; // how many turns of cable WIDTH = 8; // how wide the clamp should be DEPTH = 4; // how deep the clamp should be, needs to be > CABLE_DIAMETER CABLE_SPACING=0.4; // distance between coils
