I sought a straightforward, foolproof coat hanger with only one screw required, ensuring it couldn't be misaligned. The ability to mount it virtually anywhere was also crucial. I aimed for something unobtrusive. After trying several iterations, this design seemed to work the best. What surprised me was that coat "knobs" are actually quite popular. An image search revealed many people repurposing old door knobs as clothes hangers. A metric file is included.
