Coat & Key Hook
thingiverse
This coat hook originated as a class project for a digital fabrication course where I aimed to become familiar with 3D printing techniques and settings. Through designing the coat hook, numerous variations and troubleshooting steps were necessary to arrive at this final version of the hook. A second part of the print is included within the STL file, which consists of a tool for driving screws. The tool's height has been adjusted to ensure that the hook can be mounted flush against the wall, streamlining the installation process and eliminating the need to visually estimate hole placement. Additional images showcase post-processing techniques I employed after sanding down the finished piece. Initially, an adhesive primer was applied to the first layer, followed by a coat of black spray paint. Finally, a bed liner spray paint was added to give the 3D print a hard, industrial texture. Feel free to download and modify this design as desired!
