Coaster R4 This is a coaster of the popular robot R4 from the Star Wars movie and games. Arfour was the astromech droid attached to Obi-Wan Kenobi's Aethersprite-class starfighter, often on board his Delta-7B Aethersprite-class starfighter and Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor before and during the Clone Wars. Print it with one or multiple colors using filament or resin. Check out what I've created. This coaster is a standard size (100 by 100 by 5 mm) to fit perfectly in my Coaster Holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3130397 I printed this model with Ultimaker white PLA at 0.2mm layer height, 18% infill, and a 0.4mm nozzle temperature of 210 degrees Celsius on a heated bed. To prevent curling at the bottom, I used a brim. Feel free to use your preferred settings. Design Process I picked a logo from my browser, converted it to SVG format in InkScape, and opened the file in Blender where I created a 3D object. In MeshMixer, I repaired the file and erased some features before adding a coaster. Then, I merged the coaster with the picture after scaling it down. Using simple model techniques in 123D Design, I created the drink coaster. You can also design your own template using Tinkercad or download one from my website (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3542555). I saved it as a STL file and sliced it for printing. Although MeshMixer fixed some issues, the model still had problems after repairing. That's why I decided to export it into Netfabb Online Service. This app offers unlimited STL fix procedures compared to MakePrintable which only provides three methods. After slicing, I was able to print without any issues.
