Coaster holder Voronoi style

Heej!\r\nHere is a handy and useful design for all my coasters. The Coaster Holder Voronoi holds (round) coasters with a 100mm diameter. But if you're smart, you can scale the model in your favorite design program. The model has a nice voronoi pattern, and it can hold up to eight coasters when each is 5 mm high.\r\nA coaster holder featuring the trendy voronoi style. First, the base shape is modeled in Fusion 360; then the voronoi pattern is applied in Meshmixer.\r\nI've seen many voronoi 3D models and find them truly inspirational, so I wanted to learn how to apply this feature by myself. So, I created a base form in Fusion 360, allowing the voronoi pattern to be applied on that basic shape. In Meshmixer, the base is deformed from a square to a triangular-pattern on the outside of the model.\r\nThis creates more interesting shapes and appears creating the voronoi pattern, especially by reducing the mesh with small and bigger brushes. I enjoyed watching the video very much because of the in-depth explained proceedings in creating a voronoi pattern. Well-founded videos like these stay longer in my memory.\r\nFor me, making this project was helpful. By learning this design method, I discovered that it's useful to apply a plane cut in my models (keeping both shapes). Therefore, I could apply the voronoi pattern to just the upper part and leave the lower part intact, which is critical when you're using a high-detailed bottom.\r\nA downside is that it takes significantly longer to print these objects (FFF printing), but for me, it's worth it when I can choose between a fast prop or a slow well-end product.
