Coaster Holder - Hex Fractal & Helix

Coaster Holder - Hex Fractal & Helix

Make sure to resize for your coasters: I printed this at 55% size for mine. The top and bottom pieces of this design feature a hex fractal that showcases overlap and rotation, so you may need to take a closer look to grasp the logic behind each hexagon's placement. The two pieces are connected by a spiraling sequence of hexagons, tilted differently in every corner, creating both alignment and contrast between corners. To assemble the coasters, simply print the top and bottom pieces, then fit them together - no glue is required, according to my experience. I've also shared the SCAD file for anyone who wants to modify it. The code is semi-well organized and includes comments, making it easy to understand and tweak.
