In October 1797, John Rose sealed a deal to acquire land at Coalport, marking the beginning of his porcelain production there. By 1799, Rose and Blakeway purchased the Caughley pottery from Thomas Turner, establishing a second facility at Jackfield in 1780. They kept Caughley's factory operational until 1814, with massive quantities of white Caughley porcelain shipped to Coalport between c1799 and 1814 for decoration. This cup may have been crafted there, now on display at the Cardiff Museum. This item is part of "Scan The World".
