Coal stage for Narrow Gauge railway - 0-16.5
thingiverse
A model based on the coaling stage at Aberystwyth on the Vale of Rheidol railway. The coal is dispensed from the hopper into tubs that are then emptied into the bunkers of the locomotives. This is done from a raised walkway. On this model, the walkway has an arm across the track to accommodate a French loco belonging to the Cader Ifor Railway. The model was designed in one piece and then split to try and minimise the amount of support that would have to be removed later. For the kit, this worked quite well except for the chute. The walkway was printed upside down and only had support for the steps. But that was hard to remove. The set of six coal tubs have no support problem :-)
