CO₂ rocket car
thingiverse
This project is still evolving - a CO2-powered vehicle I built to illustrate Newton's 3rd law of motion. The car performs well overall, but I'd make some adjustments in the future: A smaller hole for the cartridge would provide a tighter fit (the cartridge measures 18mm in diameter, while the hole is 20mm). To prevent this issue, I've been using blu-tack to secure it. The eye screw at the car's rear required minor trimming so it wouldn't obstruct the cartridge hole. Remember to attach the car to a guiding line (a fishing line) to ensure it stays on course.
