This part is a replacement bearing and motor holder for the Z axis of a CNC 2417 Router, specifically designed to hold two 8mm x 15mm x 45mm linear bearings, the drive screw nut, and a 42mm diameter motor. As seen in the photos, my original part failed due to a weakness caused by the screw holes, as well as a low percentage fill that resulted in breakage at the thinnest point. I've included my measurements for bearing centers and other details so you can compare them with your own. To ensure accurate measurement, I carefully measured the Z axis holder with the two 8mm shafts in place, resulting in these sizes: outside diameter of the 8mm rods and inside diameter subtracted by 8mm to give me the distance between centers. This was done multiple times at both ends of the Z axis holder where the rods protrude. My measurement is 38.50mm, which works for my machine. My design has been produced using Fusion 360, and I've included the Fusion 360 file so you can edit it to fit your specific needs. I haven't added holes for screws to hold the bearings in place, as I believe the motor will provide sufficient security when tightened with screws. If the bearings loosen, I'll drill a small hole at the back of each bearing and add a grub screw to secure them. The bearing holes are accurately 15mm in diameter, but my printer tends to produce slightly smaller holes. To clean out the printed hole, I used a 15mm drill bit after completing the print. The holes for screws and bolts holding the drive screw nut are printed at 2mm in diameter and will require drilling out to match your specific screw size. You'll need two M4 x 20mm bolts and matching nuts to tighten everything up and hold the motor in place. There's a recess for the nuts to keep them secure during tightening.
