CNC Vacuum Shoe with Cyclone Dust Separator
thingiverse
This is a custom-made cyclone dust separator for my Genmitsu router. I chose to use a Karcher TV1 vacuum, which can be purchased on Amazon at the link below: https://www.amazon.com/Karcher-Indoor-Wet-Vacuum-Yellow/dp/B07C8BD51Q The inlet of the cyclone dust separator was specifically designed to fit a hose that I bought from Amazon. You can find this hose at the following link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XXXT9S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I used my laser cutter to create gaskets for the cyclone dust separator, but I'm not sure if they are actually necessary. The material for the gaskets can be found on Amazon at this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074HQ9TBP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 To build the cyclone dust separator, I used a 2.5-gallon bucket from Home Depot and cut out the lid using a custom design file called "laser cutout.dxf". The assembly of the cyclone dust separator required M5 hardware, which was used to attach all the components together. A hose clip was attached to the vacuum shoe using two 12mm M4 screws and t-nuts. The vacuum shoe itself was mounted to the motor using two more 12mm M4 screws. To hold the vacuum shoe brush in place, I used a hose clamp from Home Depot. You can find this product at the following link: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-3-in-4-in-Stainless-Steel-Hose-Clamp-6756595/202309381 The vacuum shoe brush was purchased on Amazon and is available at this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01566L3HQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
