CNC track edge clamp
thingiverse
I've been fine-tuning an edge clamp design, tweaking previous versions with a taller face to minimize interference with my trusty 3-axis touch plate. By lowering the face, I've improved overall performance and reduced collisions. To enhance grip, I've applied a knurled texture to the face surface. Infill density doesn't require a high percentage, but increasing outside perimeter thickness and top/bottom layers will make a noticeable difference. These edge clamps are excellent for keeping stock in place, yet you'll still need another type of clamp to hold it down firmly. I personally use a combination approach to ensure secure holding.
