CNC T-Track stop
thingiverse
After installing the T-track on my X-Carve CNC, I aimed to create a bump stop that wouldn't depend on the MDF surface. These small stops fit snugly into the track using 1/4-20 hex bolts, each measuring 1/2" in length, along with a nut for added security. A 7/32 socket wrench is required to tighten them firmly into place. By positioning them across the front and down one track, a solid corner is formed. Although longer bolts can still be used (as seen in my pictures, which utilized 3/4" long bolts), sticking with 1/2" long ones ensures that the bolt remains below the MDF surface, out of harm's way from any potential tool hits. Using this setup, I've discovered a practical consideration: when these stop blocks are installed, adding or removing other track clamps necessitates sliding them in all the way from the back. The extent to which this will be a nuisance remains to be seen.
