CNC support foot for 20mm section frame

CNC support foot for 20mm section frame

I've got a Chinese 1610 desktop CNC router that's prone to some serious vibration, and sometimes it even tries to move around my worktable! So I figured I needed some sturdy support feet for the four corners, with a flat area underneath to attach some rubber or felt pads. This project is all about creating those support feet. When printed, they should fit snugly into the ends of the 20mm-section aluminum CNC frame pieces at each corner of the base. They'll work with any 20mm-section frame on other similar CNC machines, not just the 1610. I've included an OpenSCAD file in case you want to tweak the model. There's a snugness_factor variable at the top of the code that lets you adjust the frame-insert components if they're too loose or tight for your frame.
