CNC Spoilboard Clips for use with HDF Sheets
thingiverse
I use small rectangles of HDF (also known as Masonite Hardboard) as a spoilboard for PCB milling. If you've milled PCBs before, you'll know that the margins involved in PCB milling are extremely tight, and having a level and hard surface is one of the most crucial things you can do to ensure a successful milling operation. These clips allow you to hold a small piece of hardboard securely in place without applying lateral pressure that could cause the board to bow. Included are two different versions depending on the thickness of the spoilboard you're using: * `spoilboard_brace_3mm.stl` for 3mm spoilboards * `spoilboard_brace_5mm.stl` for 5mm spoilboards If you happen to be using a spoilboard of a different thickness, the Fusion files are attached - simply update the parameter named "spoilboard_thickness" to the correct value.
