This is a spindle and/or laser holder designed for small CNC machines, specifically the SainSmart Genmitsu CNC. Its primary function is to securely store either a spindle or a laser when swapping one out for the other. The holder effectively safeguards both tools, including the laser's lens, from potential damage. It features a mounting system that attaches to the machine's upper rail using M5 screws and T nuts. The downloadable file includes two versions of the design: a single-bin model and a dual-bin version. The latter allows users to store both a laser and a spindle or keep one device in storage while housing its wires in the other bin. Although the 2-bin version has smaller holes, they can be easily enlarged if needed. This design was intended for use on an acrylic plate attached to the machine's rails, providing a convenient mounting point for various devices. The single-bin model prints well in a vertical position without any supports required. In contrast, the dual-bin version necessitates support material during printing. The holder was successfully printed using a Ender 3 Pro with PLA filament at a layer thickness of 0.2mm.
