CNC Simple Probe V1
thingiverse
As I need to calibrate a probe on my CNC machine, I had to modify the workplan since it's not perfectly flat, so I designed this small custom-made probe myself.\r\nIt requires just a microswitch and a short rivet, two M3 screws, some wires, and a nail.\r\nSince the rivet is too long, I used an old ballpoint pen plastic refill to limit its depth precisely.\r\n\r\nOriginally, the probe was designed to fit into the mill's chuck, but later I decided to attach it to a slide using epoxy glue so I could mount it on the shoulder installed on my Z-axis.\r\nCheck out my other Things about CNC machines.\r\n\r\nSo far, all my tests have been successful, and the probe works flawlessly.
