CNC router with SBR25 Rails, NEMA 23, and 0.5 in. single start ACME rods with IMS Delrin anti-backlash nuts and DumpsterCNC rigid shaft couplers. 6 in. of 6x6x0.25 in. aluminum square tube, 1 in. cabinet grade plywood, 1 in. phenolic resin, 0.25 in. steel, 0.25 in. aluminum, with a couple of easy 90 deg. bends. Partially complete design/doodle based around some Chinese 25mm rails and bearings that someone gave me (which I wouldn't buy and don't recommend). Rendered images won't always reflect current state of uploaded model. Some model files are overly large due to the inclusion of fastener models instead of low-poly placeholders.The anti-backlash nut mounts will all vary in height from CAD dimensions due to variances in the height of individual SBR25 rails, accuracy of bends, etc. Bearings on the SBR25 rails are very noisy...A used apx. 1KW 3 phase spindle and VFD will be added. Model will be updated with changes as potential/future build nears.
