CNC Router v6, "Tugboat"

Tugboat, my CNC router, is named after its resemblance to tugboats. The router has been modified and improved in each version, including changes to feet and screw guards. The current model will be built with a millable area of at least 2' x 4', using a DeWalt DWP611PK compact router as the spindle. Linear rails and bearings are utilized due to spare parts provided by the company where I work. A lead screw drive design is chosen for its familiarity from work, with custom brackets designed for aesthetic and functional reasons. Over 60 hours of CAD work has been completed in Fusion 360, and now parts will be ordered while creating CAM files. Once parts arrive, Tugboat will be assembled and ready to make parts.
