To enhance assembly precision, all lead screw nut mounts now feature indexing tabs/slots. The work surface area has been expanded, enabling the router bit to cover up to 2 feet on the X-axis and 4 feet on the Y-axis. Stepmotor mounts have also been added for improved stability. The diameter of lead screws increased from 3/8in to 1/2in, necessitating adjustments to associated brackets, nuts, and mounts. Ball bearings and thread clamps were implemented at the free end of each lead screw. For enhanced rigidity, corner brackets replaced end-mounting for cross members. A nameplate was added to the spindle mounts' front. Pedro Pellegrino's NEMA 23 stepper motor model is compatible, as well as Aron Rubin's Dewalt DWP611 router. The current version is CNC Router v6, nicknamed "Tugboat," with the next iteration being CNC Router v4 and the previous version being CNC Router v2.
