CNC Plasma floating Z torch mount for machine or handheld torch
thingiverse
Floating Torch Mount for CNC Plasma Cutter. This design fits snugly on a linear actuator with M5 holes, spaced at 60x20mm and/or 40x40mm. I used it to secure a 'CNC Plasma Cutting Torch P80' from eBay - cut down the tail tube slightly as it reached the Z motor. Check out my other designs for the Z motor mount I used. It's designed for either a 35mm diameter machine torch or a 32.3mm handheld torch. I specifically designed it to suit an 'Ergo Cut S45' torch, with the mounting collar positioned either flush with or 30mm below the backplate to allow the torch to extend below the Z actuator sufficiently - see images. You'll need: - 4x LMF6 linear bush bearings - 8x small self-tapper screws for mounting bushes - 2x 100mm x 6mm linear chrome rods - 2x springs (around 9mm x 20mm seemed to work fine) - 4x or 8x M5 10mm tapered head screws - 1x Micro-switch with roller. I used a V-156-1C25 - 2x Tapered M3 x 20mm screws + washers & nuts for mounting switch - 4x M4 screws/washers/nuts to secure torch (2 for handheld torch mount)
