CNC Plasma Cutting table for under $750
thingiverse
This is my simple design for a CNC plasma cutting table. It's very easy to assemble and affordable. The full CAD design can be found here: https://grabcad.com/library/cnc-plasma-cutting-table-for-under-750-1 All the brackets can be made using a small size CNC milling machine such as 3018. Without the plasma cutter, the cost of the whole setup is about $750 or less. With the plasma cutter (cut50, has pilot arc), the total cost is about $1000 and I bought a large air compressor 27 gallons for another $300. So, in the end, counting everything, the total is less than $1300. It's still way cheaper than any machine you buy out there. The machine is more like a desktop version (don't put it on your wooden desk or bench, you will need to build a metal frame for it). After the machine is built with all the wooden parts, I will upgrade all the brackets to steel (cutting from this machine itself).
