CNC Plasma Cutter Plotter https://tinkersprojects.com/ Images Are Pretty Bad, Sorry I've Been Wanting a Plasma Cutter for a While Now. Instead of Buying One, I Decided to Make My Own. The 2D Plotter Machine Didn't Take Too Long to Build and Has Been Sitting Around for About a Year While I Was Getting All the Other Parts Needed for Cutting. Getting the Right Hoses Took Some Time, but Once I Got the Correct Parts, I Made Some Modifications to Them and the Cutter Started Working. Next, I Had Trouble with the Controller for the Machine. I Wanted to Challenge Myself and Build the Controller Including Both Hardware and Software. The Plasma Machine Gives Off a Lot of EMI, So the Controller Would Restart Itself Whenever the Plasma Was Turned On. I Fixed This by Putting the Controller in a Metal Box and Stopping Communication Over USB (G-Code on SD Card), Which Solved the Problem and Let Me Test the Cuts. The Frame Is Made from Linear Rails and Powered by 2 NEMA17 Motors in a CoreXY Configuration. The Controller Uses PLEX with the Arduino Bootloader.
