The use of a CNC engraver to manufacture printed circuit boards by engraving in English style yields impressive results. My CNC 1610, with its compact base measuring 18 by 10 cm, is more than capable of producing PCBs of maximum size. For hobbyists, this setup offers an ideal solution for creating prototypes without overspending. The small size of the base demands optimized locking brackets on the bed to ensure safe use of plates up to 150x100 mm in dimensions. To achieve this, I installed five aluminum profiles machined together to form a sturdy base. It's effortless to slide standard nuts along the front edge, while self-drilling screws with a diameter of 5.5 are required for securing the locking brackets on the short sides. I chose screws with a length of 3.2 cm to guarantee proper fixation. By using the 'Fixe.stl' file, you can securely attach two pieces to the edges of the bed in its lower left corner. The 'Mobile_Avant.stl' file enables blocking the front panel of the PCB if needed, while 'Coin.stl' facilitates blocking at the top right corner. The 'Adjustable.stl' file, courtesy of Pyromaniac on Thingiverse (thing:2455549), prevents any movement of the PCB during engraving. To prevent depression during engraving, you can place shims (Cale.stl) underneath the PCB. The PCB is suspended 3mm above the bed to allow for hole drilling and cutting while safeguarding the CNC bed. For enhanced support, consider adding the add-on from Thingiverse (thing:3376521).
