CNC Milling Machine Spindle
thingiverse
This is my first post! I created a CNC Spindle model for educational purposes, demonstrating a working spindle with a moving draw-bar that engages and releases tools in CNC machining. Note that this design doesn't directly reflect actual spindle design. The bearings are loaded with approximately 40 "3/16" delrin balls, providing smooth performance. Inside the shaft is an R8 collet with a 1/4-20 bolt threaded into it, clamping tools in place under an upward force from a spring. These parts were printed at school using a high-end machine for optimal detail, which resulted in large STL files and a 23-hour print time. Some extra holes may need to be drilled and threaded if you're mounting a motor or other components. Please ask any questions as I don't want to overexplain!
With this file you will be able to print CNC Milling Machine Spindle with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on CNC Milling Machine Spindle.
