An update of a design that also includes a screwable shim for stronger clamping is available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3278336. The concept involves using the static clamp to determine position and the locking clamp to secure the workpiece. This updated version has been tested with copper plated PCBs and aluminum heatsinks, producing successful results. Various color plastics have been used in the printing process to demonstrate how the components fit together. Each STL file provides a complete set of parts. Three versions are available: one with 3 pegs compatible with an earlier design, another with 4 pegs at 1cm height for use with wood or heatsinks, and a third with 4 pegs at 5mm height for PCBs. To secure the clamp, use the center bolt to lower the shim and the two side screws to hold the clamp in place on the bed. Visit https://www.robots-everywhere.com/ to explore more of my work.
